#!CSeaGreen #!N  #!Rchav Controlling the
Image: View Control... #!N #!EC #!N #!N You can change your
view of an object in the Image window by using the
 #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* View Control... #!EF option of the Image window #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Options
#!EF menu. The way an object appears in the Image window
is controlled by a #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* camera #!EF . The camera specifies
the  #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18*   look-from point #!EF , the  #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18*   look-to point #!EF
, the field of view, the size and shape of the
window, and whether the rendering method is orthographic or perspective. #!N
#!N If you are using orthographic projection, the field of view
is controlled by a parameter called #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* width #!EF , which
specifies the width of the Image window in world coordinates. For
perspective projection, the field of view is controlled by the camera
look-from position and the view angle of the camera. The differences
between these two projection methods is discussed in #!Lprojmet,dxall302 h Changing the Projection Method #!EL . #!N
#!N You can change the camera settings with #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* direct interactors
#!EF , which let you use the mouse in conjunction with
dialog box options to manipulate the view of the object directly,
and which provide immediate visual feedback for your actions. Or, you
can specify precise values for the camera settings, as described in
 #!Lcamset,dxall310 h Precise Camera Settings #!EL . #!N #!N You control your view of the object
by selecting one of the control #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* modes #!EF . Each
mode allows you to control different aspects of your view. When
you select this option, the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* View Control... #!EF dialog box
appears. The basic configuration of this dialog box is illustrated in
 #!Lviewc54,dxall300 f Figure 54  #!EL  . #!Cbrown #!N  #!F-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--18*    #!Rviewc54 #!N Graphics omitted from Online

controls particular to the current mode. #!N #!N Accelerator keys are
associated with many of the modes, so that it is not
even necessary to open the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* View Control... #!EF dialog box
to access these view control modes. #!Lmode55,dxall300 f Figure 55 #!EL lists the modes with
